Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Fun Run
Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) 5K is in its 3rd edition which will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Kinshasa.
BCAM aims to raise awareness among the population of the danger presented by breast cancer and cancer in general. Studies carried out by Target SARL show that Breast Cancer is a very dangerous threat for more than 90% of Congolese women. Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Research has shown that women who exercise have a better quality of life and experience fewer side effects during and after treatment. Exercise has also been shown to improve overall health and well-being, improve mood, reduce fatigue, and increase endurance. Some research suggests that exercise may reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence.
