Terms of participation for the entry of Congo River Marathon and all our running events

  • The age limit to participate in the race is 18+ years old.

  • Participants in the Congo River Marathon are fully aware of and understand the full risks involved in their participation in the event, in regards to possible damage or harm to their health.

  • Participants in the Congo River Marathon understand and agree that there is a health risk associated with group activities as it relates to Covid-19. They choose to register for this event with full understanding of the risk, and in this framework, the Event Organizing Committee bear no responsibility in case of any potential damage of their health.

  • Individuals participate in the event at their own free will and on their own responsibility, bearing full responsibility as to their fitness condition and ability to participate.

  • Participants are obliged to follow the instruction of Public Authorities regarding outdoor activities. The Event Organizing Committee bears no responsibility for any kind of injury the participants may suffer during the event. The Event Organizing Committee bear no responsibility in case of any penalty imposed

    to the participant by Public Authority due to their participation in the event.

  • The Event Organizing Committee have no responsibility in case of injury, damage or any other harm that may be caused by participating or spectating the event.

  • Participants agree that they have recently gone through medical tests and they are in good condition in order to participate in the current sport activity. Participants fully undertake responsibility for any kind of injury or accident may be caused during their participation in the event, as well as for any other incident may occur such falls, bad weather conditions, vehicles circulation, bad condition of the surface they run on. Participants resign from any kind of claim against the organizers, sponsors and any other person involved in the staging of this virtual run, and accept that the above legal persons or individuals have no responsibility against the Law for anything may occur during the event.

  • The personal data declared by the participant upon submission of entry form are true and correct. In case the entry form is submitted by a third party, it is granted that the participant consents to his/her personal data being given to the Event Organizing Committee by the third party.

  • Participants agree that their personal data are given to third parties for reasons related to results’ ranking and announcement on the internet. Personal data of the participants required during the registration procedure are stored and used for purposes only related to the staging of the event.

  • Participants that settle the entry fee via card (credit/debit/prepaid) consent to their personal data being given to the Bank, for reasons strictly related to the execution of this transaction.

  • Participants consent to the use of their image taken and shared before or during the event, in the media network used in the framework of this specific event, by the organizers, sponsors, or other partners of the event, for promotional purposes, with no right to claim full or partial compensation for that reason.

  • Participants should read and respect all information and guidelines they receive by the Event Organizing Committee, as well as all material published in the event’s website.

  • The Event Organizing Committee have the right to suspend, or close entries without prior notice.

  • An entry is considered valid on the condition that it has been successfully submitted through the relevant section in the event’s website and that the entry fee, as determined on the date of entry, is successfully paid, while the amount of the entry fee has been credited to the organizers’ account.

  • Changes on confirmed entries (runners’ replacement, change of race etc.) are not possible in any case.

  • No finish time and result may be taken under consideration unless a photo of a GPS watch, smartwatch, or smartphone application where the distance and the running time are shown, is sent along.

  • The distance that the participant may run must be the same as the distance he/she selected upon entry.

  • Any altitude differentiation is not taken under consideration for the announcement of results and final ranking.

  • Participants may run the stated distance more than once and submit an improved result each time.

  • Any participant may run more than one distances, given that he/she has submitted relevant number of entries.

  • Participants agree that they have run the stated distance by themselves, they have not used any kind of vehicle (bicycle, moto, etc) and that the submitted result is true.
